Historical

Searching for old photos for the design of these pages made me realize all the effort that can be put into achieving a goal. This was possible thanks to all the people who accompanied me either for a short walk or for a long trip on this difficult, but so rewarding road to success. I want to pay tribute here to all the people present or not in these pages. I believe that this history represents the general spirit in which the company operates.

Good navigation.

THE 80S

It's me!

THE 80S

Like many photographers, I started out shooting for weddings. On the other hand, the laboratory attracted me more. I therefore joined forces with Mr. Denis Bordeleau, photographer (imagerie.photographique@videotron.ca) to have the opportunity to focus on photographic development. Thanks to the efforts made, trade has taken off.

THE 90'S

“Adaptation” would be the right term to use to summarize these years. Since the wedding industry was in decline, Denis and I had to find other sources of income. The field of school photography seemed to us an opportunity. Indeed, it is thanks to her that we have continued to progress.

In 1996, a certain competition developed between our studio and the photographers who were clients with us. In addition, since my primary passion was still the laboratory, Denis and I decided to end our association. Spectra-Visuel had just been born.

THE 2000S

So here we are in a new century and it is unquestionably turned towards digital photography. To always be on the lookout, I read a lot about new technologies and attend the PMA Photography Congress. I also took programming courses. All of these steps allowed me to make the best decisions possible for a successful transition to digital printing. The photographs (right column) are intended to add a nice little note to the whole.

It's a beginning ! The building is ours.

2018

It was in February 2018 that Spectra-Visuel took a new step in its history. After more than 20 years in the same room, with a booming business, we were cramped and struggling to be functional. The expansion project and the search for a new location have started. After several months of colossal effort and work, the new laboratory is ready to welcome the team.
